Bakuchiol: Bakuchiol is a purified meroterpene phenol found in many botanical sources. It behaves similarly to retinol (targets retinoic acid receptors), however, it's thought to be much gentler and reduce skin irritation. Bakuchiol has anti-inflammatory, anti-tumour, anti-bacterial, and anti-acne properties. It is a clinically proven anti-aging ingredient that improves signs of photoaging.

It stimulates collagen I, III, IV production, thereby reducing wrinkle surface area, and has antioxidant activity which protects the skin from environmental free radicals and UV-radiation induced damage. It also improves hyperpigmentation (dark spots/sun spots) as it inhibits 2 key enzymes involved in excess melanin (skin pigment), tyrosinase and alpha-melanin stimulating hormone.

Retinol Microspheres: Retinol is a form of vitamin A that binds to retinoic acid receptors (RAR) in the skin.
