Retinol, 0.5%: Retinol is a form of Vitamin A that binds to retinoic acid receptors (RAR) in the skin. It is a potent antioxidant that has strong anti-aging, anti-acne, and brightening effects. Retinol stimulates cell renewal within the epidermis, and therefore, regulates skin cell shedding (desquamation).

This is particularly useful in treating and preventing acne (comedones), but also for treating hyperpigmention. As retinol is an antioxidant, it protects the skin from oxidative stress and prevents premature aging. Lastly, retinol is a clinically proven collagen and elastin synthesis stimulator with potent anti-wrinkle properties.
